The first day of summer is here! This is the season of life, fun and energy. So, what better way to start the summer than by starting a new exercise routine? We looked at what our fitness camp guests were working on and out last year to create your new summer workout program. You don’t need any extra equipment to do this routine. Actually, you can do it at home or anywhere else you’ll be spending your summer: at the beach, in the mountains, by a lake… We made the routine as light and easy as the summer ahead of us!
1. SINGLE-LEG STRETCH WITH A TWIST
Lie on the floor, stretching one leg straight down while holding the other one with both your hands underneath your knee. Pull your knee towards your chin. Hold it with one hand while you stretch the hand opposite to the leg you’re holding all the way back. Bring it back, change legs and repeat.
2. NO-RAIN WINDSHIELD WIPERS
This classic exercise is so simple and great come summer, winter, autumn or spring! Lie on your back, open your hands, raise your legs and move them from left to right, like a car windshield in the rain.
3. UPSIDE DOWN WALL PLANK
You’ll need a bit of bravery to do this one! First you have to turn away from the wall and squat. Put your hands to the ground and keep steady while you walk your legs up the wall. Ta-da! You did it! Now, take a break while your muscles do the work.
4. CLASSIC PUSH-UPS
We just had to put this one on the list because no exercise routine would be complete without this basic workout.
5. LASTOVO HOLIDAYS FITNESS CAMP
Ok, we admit it – this one is a little trick we played on you… But honestly, it’s only because we all have so much fun at the fitness camps. It’s a great opportunity to learn new and fun ways to exercise and seriously strengthen your own, individual routine with the help of a personal trainer.
