DO I NEED TO BE IN SHAPE IF I WANT TO GO TO THE FITNESS CAMP?
It is not necessary to be active or have a certain level of fitness. The program of the fitness camp is adjusted to individual needs and abilities of each participant. The goal is to make you feel better about your body and your health, regardless of your level. Experience and knowledge of strength and conditioning programs, such as CrossFit, is needed though.
HOW MUCH WORKOUT GOES ON DURING THE FITNESS CAMP?
There are 2 workout sessions a day (cardio and skills), in combination with the workout of the day. You can participate in working out as much as you want (or quit all together, if you feel like it). The gym and the equipment is at your disposal 0-24h and you can exercise in the nature (running, swimming, hiking, etc.) as much as you want outside of training sessions.
WHAT IF I HAVE FOOD RESTRICTIONS?
We usually accommodate any special dietary needs you might have. Please, let us know what your regimen is beforehand, when booking, so that we can prepare everything when you arrive.
CAN I PARTICIPATE IN THE FITNESS CAMP IF I CAN’T SWIM?
Sure! The training doesn’t consist of swimming and you can safely enjoy the view of the sea.
WOULD IT BE OK IF I PARTICIPATE EVEN THOUGH I WAS RECENTLY INJURED/HAVE BEEN ILL?
This depends on your doctor’s orders. Of course, we will check with you during the booking process. Depending on your condition, we can organize your travel so the illness/injury doesn’t worsen and we’ll make the trip as enjoyable and safe for you as possible.
HOW MUCH IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY FLIGHTS?
You should be safe if you book your flights just as you receive the confirmation of your trip (you will be informed once the minimum quota of participants is confirmed and the trip is guaranteed). If your arrival flight is the same day as the beginning of the program, it should arrive to Split in the morning so that you can catch the catamaran ride to Lastovo.
DO I NEED A VISA OR ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS?
The nationals of the EU need only an ID document. For the citizens of the EU, USA, Canada and Australia a valid passport should suffice. But, even then, it is advisable to check the current requirements for your nationality. All other nationals should do so and apply for a visa if necessary through your local Croatian Embassy. Ideally, your passport/visa should be valid a bit longer than your stay in Croatia.
All UK citizens should pay close attention to government updates and the Croatian Embassy in the UK, seeing as how during 2019 the UK should leave the EU and it is still not clear what the travel requirements will be.
SHOULD I GET A TRAVEL INSURANCE?
Definitely. It is mandatory for all Lastovo Holidays travelers. We recommend you take it when booking. Check if your basic insurance policy covers activities such as CrossFit, gymnastics, weight-lifting and water sports. If not, we recommend you get an upgrade. The insurance has to cover cases of personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation. The recommended minimum coverage is 2,000,000 pounds for each of the categories. We strongly recommend you to get a policy that also covers cancellation, curtailment, personal liability and loss of luggage and personal effects. It is obligatory for you to provide proof of your travel insurance at least 7 days before going on the trip. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to join.
WHAT SHOULD I PACK?
Our best advice is to pack light! Bring a combination of workout and casual clothes for warm weather. Make sure you add in a long-sleeved top and a pair of long trousers for chilly evenings. There will be no formal events happening BTW. And, just in case, we will send you a packing list a month before the travel.
WHAT EXCURSIONS ARE INCLUDED IN THE FITNESS CAMPS PROGRAM?
There are several excursions around the island and the archipelago, usually including a walking tour of the historic town Lastovo and trips by car or boat to some of the #instaworthy spots on the island. Besides taking photos there, there are extra activities to do there, like hiking, swimming, snorkeling, or just relaxing, depending on the location. We will send you the itinerary, including the details of the excursions, a month in advance.
WHAT ARE SOME INTERESTING ACTIVITIES TO DO ON LASTOVO?
Lastovo is for nature and outdoors lovers! Don’t expect any crazy late-night partying here as this is a peaceful and serene place. The wild nature is a perfect setting for going on a picnic, setting up camp, or perfecting your photography skills. You can rent a scooter or a bike if you want to explore the hills, settlements, bays and beaches of the island. Also, you can just chill at one of the restaurants overlooking the sea, sipping on a cool drink…
WHAT IF I WANT TO MAKE MY TRIP LONGER?
Besides fitness camps, Lastovo Holidays offers cozy accommodation for anyone who wants to stay longer. And why wouldn’t you? Croatia is worth exploring! You can take the catamaran from Lastovo to Hvar and Korčula islands or back to Split, places filled with history and beauty. For more ideas, you can contact us.

That is a great idea! If this is the case, let us know so we can arrange to meet in Split or on Lastovo. If you want to explore Lastovo before the start of the camp, you can book accommodation with us or rent a scooter, kayak or a SUP.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR A BIG GROUP TO JOIN THE FITNESS CAMP?
